It is the capital of the Department of Antioquia and the second most important city in Colombia; located at 1,475 meters above sea level and with an average temperature of 24º, it is known as “the city of eternal spring”.

It has become one of the main centers of Colombian culture, hosting important and recognized festivities at local, national and international levels; one of the most important being “La Feria de las Flores” (the flower fair). It also has important cultural centers such as Museo de Antioquia, Plaza de Botero, Parque Explora, Orquideorama and Plaza Mayor. Its also known for its textiles and fashion environment.
