ANDES REGION

ANDES REGION

This Region has a wide range of thermal floors and the largest number of natural parks in the country. It is the habitat of the condor, emblematic bird of the Colombian flag. It also hosts hundreds of other avian species, such as larks, partridges, turkeys, ducks, hummingbirds, green toucans and occasionally migratory caicas from North America.

In this region there are also faras, squirrels, armadillos, wild rabbits, curies, borugas, foxes and deer. It is also home to exotic species such as the night monkey, the howler monkey and the crested eagle.

It is located between 1000 and 2000 meters above sea level, so its temperature can range between 10 ° C and 24 ° C. This climate is unique to the Andean region.
