Colombia’s capital, founded in 1538, is located in the Andes Region just in the middle of the country, in the eastern mountain range at 2,625 meters above sea level. It has become the third most important capital in Latin America with approx. 8 million inhabitants.

Thanks to the variety of gastronomic zones, its home to a variety of squares and  markets such as Paloquemao, festivals such as Alimentarte Food Festival and 5 restaurants in the list of the “50 Best” of Latin America. Bogotá has become one of the emerging  destinations in gastronomic tourism and on of the highlights of Latin America.

It also offers the best of the performing arts, plastic arts, cinema, literature, festivals,  massive outdoor events and most importantly a wide range of museums of technological, anthropological and artistic nature. As for business tourism, it is not far behind, ranked eighth among the best cities to do business in Latin America.

It is the point of convergence of people from all over the country and that is why it is diverse and multicultural. Thanks to its history, modern and colonial architecture, its gastronomy, art and nightlife, Bogotá has become an obligatory stop for those who visit Colombia.
